leaving delhi

last day in delhi.

still felt awful. and it was still so hot outside.

we went to eat. and while originially i had wanted to take the metro to go see a temple, after walking to the shopping area, i had to rethink my plan for the day. brittany already just wanted to chill before leaving so i decided against going to the temple.

we decided to stay for a long time in the restaurant - for the airconditioning. and at that point i figured we could break up our day until it was time to go to the airport into long chunks. basically somewhat of 2 hour sections.

from the restaurant we went to the market and bought some souvenirs. then went to the first restaurant we went to in delhi for dinner. had a long dinner. then went back to our hotel to get our bags and sat in the lobby for awhile. then we journeyed to find the metro.

that was a bit of treasure hunt. as it wasn't exactly in the train station. and then it wasn't in the normal metro station. but we got there. it was clearly just built and opened (it was supposed to be for the commonwealth games) and was super nice. we were about 2 out of 10 people there - with 7 being guards/employees in such a huge space.

anyway we were able to get tokens and rode to the airport (wishing we had done that for the way in).

then we spent a block of time in the waiting area of the airport before checking in and waiting for a block of time at the gate.

it was a looong day of waiting. and i just felt so awful.
