fireworks

sunday
04 september.

to conclude the international festival (and really all the festivals i would think), there's a fireworks show. the chamber orchestra played a concert and the fireworks were set off from the castle. you have to get tickets to go to the concert or even be in the gardens, but you can also just go down to princes street or all around the city to see them.

brittany and i went down to stand on princes street. we found a spot that we could see the castle between some trees and there were speakers on the garden fencing so we could hear the music.

it was great for most of the show, until two girls who were more concerned with their phones came and stood right in front of me. and then the asian couple came and stood basically on top of me. but the concert was really nice, an asian themed selection of music and it was neat to see how the fireworks were complementing the music.

they used torches for some of the lights, not all fireworks. and it was neat to see them get shot off in different directions. some were made to create the scottish flag which was neat. anyway, i was excited to get to see fireworks.
