spent tuesday morning setting up data files as well as wednesday morning. but then i was looking at the data and i discovered that for some of the data, it didn't seem clear. that the program appeared to not have coded the data correctly. i very quickly became extremely concerned and luckily i was able to find adrian to ask him. it took an overly long round about conversation to try to explain what i think might have happened, but adrian was calm about it. which was helpful.

he told me to contact the program's company with the question as the it guy didn't know about the specifics and terry, another professor, didn't really know either. adrian was sure that the data was there, we'd just need to get access to it in some way. i was far less optimistic. i was pretty sure it wasn't retrievable.
