return to heriot watt

tried to get participants - another low day of five.

then went to heriot watt (via a long stop at the post office to mail a book i sold on amazon, yay 10 pounds for me). hadn't been to campus in a loooong time at least two and a half weeks. it felt odd and long on the bus. and i hadn't seen/ met with adrian in even longer.

that was much needed. i was worried about meeting with him because of my low numbers of participants, but he was pleasantly enthusiastic about my numbers. contrary to my feelings of failing at getting people, he said otherwise. still need to get everyone on campus i can once school starts in a week or two. but i feel a bit more okay with my festival numbers.

discussed a few other things as well and it was great to actually get some feedback and discussion about some thoughts. just another demonstration of why i'm working with him. each time we meet, i'm glad he's my supervisor and i have a bit of renewed hope about doing this degree.

did discover i had made a few errors on my surveys online that i had to fix though. so that did deflate me a bit, but i fixed them and only about 20 or so had been completed for each of the 3 so that's not too bad. i just need so many people. as i told adrian, i feel as though i've just started more projects but haven't finished one of them. i want to finish at least one of them and move on. that'd be awesome. hopefully i'll get lots of people in september and then get something finished and written up completely.

did some data entry at my desk in the room. felt good to return to campus and meet with adrian. he's away next week but hopefully after that with the start of the year for the undergrads, i'll get onto campus daily to get some more people participating and writing done.
