recapped - week of 26sep - 2oct

i thought i'd do a bit of a recap in order to not lose sight of the beginning weeks in edinburgh.
so the beginning of this week was covered by the previous blog, so we'll start with day one in edinburgh.

28 september (tuesday)
bus got in early, which normally would be great and all, but that just meant that i had more time to wait until i met the guy to get into the flat. spent a whole bunch of time on the phone talking with people to try to get things set up and did get the internet going (although it took a loong phone call to do it). that was great, which meant i could go buy a few things on the high street and even go get some luggage. bad thing about my luggage - the black suitcase's wheel was dying on the way back from the states. updated to now dead so i chose not to use that one but then was able to take less.

29 september (wednesday)
slept in which was great seeing as the evening before i was travelling via bus to this city. went to the high street to purchase more things at pound stretcher. possibly my new favorite store. well that and the frozen farm foods store, but at that point i hadn't yet been there, so i'll have to give props to pound stretcher. oh and it was raining so i didn't go other places.

30 september (thursday)
went to meet with adrian and get things from storage on the way back. great meeting. good haul out of the storage unit leaving one more suitcase of brittany's stuff left which would be perfect for getting on friday when i had to officially move out anyway. then i went and waited for abner, rachel, and parents. was going to do more but i was waiting for them.

1 october (friday)
had to go to the storage unit. then i went to asda. the far away one apparently (this i did not know until 2 days ago) but i was clever enough to figure there was one at the end of the busline that goes down our street so that was an adventure anyway. made some dinner. we played apples to apples. abner and i in a crushing battle tied until added extra round when somehow his dad won. good game.

2 october (saturday)
perezs left sadly. so there goes one, and so far, our only visitors. and they were here before brittany was.
