on saturday, brittany and i went to usher hall (which is super close to us and awesome) to see the kodo drummers. they put on a fantastic performance. it was really great to see some high quality drumming. their timing and visuals were super - which may partly be of the extreme contrast to our experience with the trash clang group. not to necessarily put down the trash clang group, but it just made the kodo experience that much more enriching. anyway we were able to get 10 pound student tickets and our seats were down front in the middle and were great.
the strength and precision of the drummers were pretty incredible. anyway, that was a great performance. we ran into another trash clang member while walking back from the performance as he was there too. maybe he'll make some related comments to improve this week's trashclang rehearsal so that it's not just coming from brittany and myself.
