bills and things

it didnt appear to seem to difficult to set things up here for the flat.

phone was fine. bank was fine - just had to update the address.

setting up the internet seemed easy enough. except that apparently me choosing not to have a paper bill didn't work and then having to call them to ask them about it to save me the one pound twenty five cost me probably two pounds fifty. and an awkward conversation with the woman who apparently loves american accents but was surprised and confused by mine. super.

then there's scottish power. they just got my name misspelled but the online account seems to be set up. we'll see what happens when the bill shows up in a few days.

then there's council tax. they too chose an alternate spelling of my name (different from scottish power too). they also had me on hold forever. so that's a trip in person i guess. and i need to get a form filled out stating i'm a student. great. there's two adventures to be had. and quickly as the bill is due.
